Hi everyone,
Thanks again for attending the GREN Map Kickoff meeting for 2025. I've attached the meeting minutes for your reference.
As we discussed, I'm also attaching the spreadsheet for collecting topology data. If you're able to contribute, please add your institution's data and send the updated file back to me. We're excited to start working on the first version of the map and would love for you to be a part of it.
For communication, a Slack channel has been set up. I'm also sharing the links for the project's GitHub repository and the Wiki page for documentation.
I'll be updating the Wiki with instructions on how to contribute and with our WG's information (meeting minutes, planned meetings, etc.) as soon as I have editing access.
I will soon send a calendar invitation for our recurring group meetings.
Here are the useful links for the group:

Dear Everyone,
Thank you for your interest and participation in the GREN Map WG meeting on 3rd March. Together with CANARIE, I've prepared the attached notes. If you have anything to add or wish to suggest some modifications, please let me know. For those not able to attend, the notes should give you a good view of the current situation.
Following the call, I have discussed with CANARIE on the position of co-chairs for the WG. Following CANARIE's withdrawal from its leading role in the WG, we have agreed that the group would benefit from some fresh leadership. As a consequence I also confirm that I will hand over my position of co-chair.
I have checked with representatives of the GNA-G Leadership team, and understand that there is no specific formal approach for WG chairs to be appointed, but that we should inform them of any changes when they are made. I therefore would ask those receiving this message to consider taking on the role of co-chair, and confirming to Mark (Mark.Wolff(a)canarie.ca<mailto:Mark.Wolff@canarie.ca>) and me by 28th March. Please also forward this message to anyone you consider may be interested in the role or participating in the group.
Best regards,
Tom

Hello Everyone,
It has been some time since the working group met, so together with CANARIE, we would like to arrange a meeting in the coming weeks to look at where things stand and what should happen next. So to find a date, we've created a doodle poll: https://doodle.com/meeting/participate/id/avDB68Xd
Could you please complete the doodle by the end of 23rd October so that we can fix the date in our diaries as quickly as possible?
Best regards,
Tom

Hello All,
At TNC this year (just over a week away!) I will be running a demo on deploying the GREN map using Kubernetes and Helm. I will talk through how we, at CANARIE, are running 14 production instances of the GREN map and show a demo based on this. This is a great opportunity for you to see the GREN map in action.
The demo will be on the Tuesday, June 11th at 12:45 - 13:15 in Community Hub 3. You can see the full programme here https://tnc24.geant.org/programme/.
I would love to see you all there please bring along anyone you think will be interested.
It would also be great opportunity to take some time after my demo and have an informal working group meeting seeing as we will already be in one place. If that interests you, stick around after my demo and we can find somewhere to chat. This should allow us to transition into a stage where the working group can start to drive adoption and deployment of the software.
Again, if you can make it, I would love to see you in Rennes.
Best Regards,
Dan.
